K9 Kampus Triebball

What is Treibball?

Jan Nijboer, a well renowned dog behavior expert, created Treibball in Europe.  Its original purpose was to create an occupation for herding breeds.  But over time it was discovered that regardless of breed, age or size - many dogs enjoyed Treibball.  Treibball is in principle a herding sport. Instead of a live sheep, large balls are “herded” into a pen. Just like the herding of livestock requires the co-operation of shepherd and sheep dog, so Treibball is also based on the relationship of man and dog.

Many dog owners in Europe have discovered that Treibball is not only a sport, but also a “back to the basics” relationship building activity between owner and dog.

While Treibball might not be for every dog, you might be surprised to find a hidden herder in your pooch.

Your instructor, Christine Scott, is at this time, the only person trained by Jan Nijboer in the sport and teaching philosophy of Treibball in the United States.
