Canine Good Citizen

K9 Kampus offers options for training your dog. We have a 3300 Sq. Ft. Indoor fully matted and air-conditioned facility that offers everything from puppy classes to Novice Obedience

In  our indoor facility you will enjoy class in our climate controlled environment without the worry of the heat, humidity, rain, mud or bugs! Never worry about getting rained out, or your dog getting dirty or muddy and say good bye to the mosquitos when the sun goes down because you will be inside away from all the discomforts a Florida evening.

Payment in full must be received to secure your position in the class. Most classes require a minimum of 5 people to start, if the class does not have its minimum requirement, it will be pushed back a week until the 5 person minimum is met.

Class fees are non-refundable unless a class did not start because of a reason associated with K9 Kampus or the Trainer. After the first day of class no refunds are given in full or part. Class payments cannot be transferred to another class once a class has started.

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program

The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program is designed to get puppies and their owners off to a great start. The program is based on Socialization, Training, Activity, and Responsible ownership.  Each week we will focus on these objectives and your instructor (an AKC Evaluator) will keep track of your accomplishments.  By the end of the course is your puppy and you have reached each milestone (designated by the AKC) your puppy will be awarded an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Certificate.

Duration:                 6 Weeks

Pre-Requisites:      No previous class required. Age appropriate vaccinations are required.

 

Basic Obedience

This class will cover all basic commands (sit, sit stay; down, down stay; recall (come command); Stand, stand stay; off; leave it.  It also teaches general manners for your dog to be a well socialized pet. All the exercises are done on a leash.

Vaccines Required : Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Canine Influenza

Novice Obedience

This class is a continuation of our Basic Obedience course.  You will take the skills learned in Basic Obedience and put it together with your dog. This class will also touch on the skills your dog will need for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. The test consists of 10 skills needed by all well-mannered dogs. All the exercises are done on a leash.   8 weeks of working with your dog.

Duration:                 6 Weeks

Pre-Requisites:      Basic Obedience

 

Intermediate Obedience

You will build upon the skills learned in the Novice Class progressing to off leash work with distractions, distance sit/down/recall exercises. This class will be open to all who successfully complete the Novice Obedience course. Intermediate classes can be attended on a walk-in basis if the maximum number of participants is not met. To ensure your place in the class we recommend signing up for the full 8 weeks

We currently do not have Agility

Basic Agility

Our Basic Agility classes are held with a maximum of 8  participants to ensure everyone receives a lot of equipment time. Our Agility classes are 6 weeks long, meeting once a week for 1 hour. K9 Kampus breaks down basic agility into three separate classes: 1. Jumps & Tunnels, 2. Contacts, 3. Weaves. We offer these classes with overlapping schedules so if you wanted to do more than one class at a time it is available to you.

Intermediate Agility

Our Intermediate classes are  for students that have completed all three parts of basic agility wishing to continue for more advanced skills and courses

Advanced Agility

Our advanced classes are for those that want to compete and fine tune their agility skills.

Open Agility Practice Sessions

Open agility practice sessions are for everyone with previous agility experience and available to everyone regardless of where you are a student.  K9 Kampus wants to share our one of a kind indoor, fully matted air-conditioned facility with everyone.

We offer a 2 hour session with unlimited 3 minute rotations on the course. We limit the number of participants to ensure as many rotations as possible. Additional sessions will be made available if our maximum number of participants is met.

When:                  Sundays 1pm-3pm ** Will resume as soon as our new agility trainer arrives*

Details:

1. New participants must be registered in our system (Click here to register)

6. Registration & Doors will be closed promptly at 1pm
7. Course walking starts promptly at 12:30pm
8. Rotations start promptly at 1pm
